Saturday, May 27 and Sunday, May 28: fourth weekend of Monumenti Aperti in Sardinia

Turning point for Monumenti Aperti, which is preparing to open its treasures wide on its fourth and penultimate weekend in Sardinia: the appointment is for Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 in 14 municipalities.

, in addition to Cuglieri, Dorgali, Ittiri, Neoneli, Ovodda, Padria, Seventh St. Peter, Siddi e Thiesi. Also opening its treasures wide.
Sant’Antioco
, which had canceled the event last weekend due to bad weather.
The telling of the historical, artistic and identity wonders will be entrusted as always to school students and volunteers. There are numerous side events-especially in Cagliari but not only-that will make the event even richer and livelier.

AWARDS
Monumenti Aperti received: 2018 – European Union Prize for Cultural Heritage/Europa Nostra Awards, the highest European award in the field, for the Education, Training and Awareness section delivered at the first European Cultural Heritage Summit 2017. Imago Mundi OdV joined the pan-European cultural heritage network Europa Nostra in 2017.

THE HEART OF SARDINIA APP
Heart of Sardinia is a free iOS and Android app that has been promoting the island’s tourism heritage for five years. It will be the official app of the 2023 edition of Monumenti Aperti and a digital guide for all visitors: inside it will be possible to consult the map of monuments that can be visited and save itineraries in advance.
Heart of Sardinia will also work to collect anonymized and aggregated data on visitor habits to measure the event’s outcomes.
