Located on the very central Via Roma, the Abis House is developed in the inner courtyard with a long loggia characterized by nine arches.
The Building, built in the early 1900s, underwent renovation in 2007; it retains the cementine floors, wooden ceiling, fixtures and some furnishings of the period. The peculiarity of the house, besides its structure, is that it is set in a courtyard space including constructions from an earlier period, communicating with the central body and overlooking a large green area bordering in vico Sardegna. These buildings, now dilapidated, housed a soda factory and a series of large barrels for the wine trade. Characteristic are the old kitchens and the bakery room, which retain the original terracotta and slate floors and were part of the complex of dwellings in the ancient district of “Funtanedda.”
