Conceived as a ‘Museum of the Territory’,it holds artifacts from the main archaeological sites of the Lower Sulcis in an exhibition organized according to the chronological succession of the different civilizations.Prominent among the musealized collections is the votive deposit from the Su Benatzua Santadi cave, the most important cave sanctuary in Nuragic Sardinia. Thousands of votive offerings, significant forthe long continuity of attendance: ceramics and metal objects, including daggers and the bronze tripod of Cypriot type. Multimedia supports, smartphone applications and audio guides diversify the modes of enjoyment, facilitating the contextualization of the finds and sites in the area that attest to the evolution of settlement patterns over time.
