The former penitentiary branch known as Centrale, which once housed common inmates, is now home to a museum that aims to restore dignity to the lives of former inmates and the work they did for Asinara. The exhibit consists, in fact, of recovered, cataloged and cleaned-up objects that tell and revive the island’s prison history.
