The Roman well measures 3x3m and is built of sandstone blocks, has a depth of 4m, and has a cross-ribbed roof with a square base; there is an opening on each side. Along the walls, at mid-height, there is a worked cornice. The bottom of the cistern well is lined with coarse stone blocks. On one side of the fountain was a marble slab with an inscription in Latin that served as a step and was removed and lost in the last century. The well remained in use until the middle of the last century; every year a family was drawn by lot to clean the cistern.
