Small in size (about 50 meters), the cave has been frequented since prehistoric times, as evidenced by artifacts attributable to the Ozieri Culture and the Roman period found within it.
The present entrance is what remains of an original cavity, which has partly collapsed over time. The initial part of the cave today looks like a narrow channel between rocks, in the middle of which are large boulders detached from the vault.
