Erected at the end of the 17th century (in 1682) “extra muros” (outside the town walls), it contrasts the classicist interior with an exterior in which Gothic-Catalan reminiscences blend.
The plan of the place of worship presents a single nave opened by three chapels and closed by the majestic retable by sculptor Antonio Alexandro; inside there is an interesting wooden altar in the now Baroque style.
In 1708 the Friars Minor arrived in Bonorva, who, on the side adjoining the church, built a convent that still has interesting late 17th-century structures, such as the elegant staircase leading to the upper floor.
