In the Respuestas, an important questionnaire sent in 1777 by the Sardinian bishops to all the parishes, the parish priest of Quartucciu, Jorge Ramon Mameli at the time, conveyed a series of important information about the state of the churches in the area, pastoral activity and the buildings and their furnishings. The parish priest noted four churches including that of S. Isidoro ” en la pispissa de Fruminy,” which enjoyed a pension “in perpetuum” of 120 liras, 19 soldi and 2 denari that came from wine, fruits, cane cultivation and land rent. administered by Mr. Francesco Antonio Tidu. The church is located in the hamlet of S. Isidoro , in the fertile valley between the rio Corongiu and rio Piscina nuxedda, elevated above the surrounding houses. The religious building has a simple façade, with a centered portal, topped by a marble coat of arms, and ends with a double-vaulted bell tower between two curvilinear junctions. The floor plan consists of a rectangular barrel-vaulted hall, with E-W orientation. It was desired and built at his own expense in 1740 by priest Don Antonio Pisano to enable farmers who were stationed for many months of the year in the countryside of St. Isidore to attend religious services. Today it is still used for religious services and its care is taken care of by the religious community of the Discalced Carmelite Friars; every year on the first Sunday in June the saint is celebrated with a solemn procession.
