The building is located west of Ploaghe, near the spring of Riuttu or Rivuttu, and is reached by a road that, passing alongside the State Railroad, flows into the old road that connected Ploaghe with Sassari. The church of San Sebastiano was built after the plague of 1527 forty steps from the ruins of the church of Santa Maria de Ostana, parish church of the village of Augustana. Over time it has undergone various remodeling. It is of modest size, has a single vaulted nave and a sacristy. On the right side, the ruins of two hovels are still preserved.
