The church of San Salvatore stands in the historic center of Sestu and was built between the 12th and 13th centuries. The building is made of limestone and sandstone and has a gabled roof with a simple bell tower.
At the entrance it has a wooden pointed-arch portal flanked by two round-arched structures, in place of which two other entrances to the church opened at the aisles.
Inside it has three naves and with a barrel vault and semicircular apse.
The church is used during the celebration of the Most Holy Savior at the end of July.
