Inaugurated in 1933, the building highlights the long front marked vertically by pilasters with two side avant-corps, connected by a central block on three levels, preceded by a double staircase parallel to the facade. Inside, bright and wide corridors serve the various floors connected by wide staircases with wrought-iron railings. In 1933, painter Mario Delitala, commissioned to paint the main hall, created subjects inspired by the institute’s classical address (“Heracles and Chiron, the Giants”) with a traditional figurative language.
