The library is located in a historic building in the city center, a short walk from the City Palace and the Villa Comunale. Named after the Bitontine jurist and man of letters Eustachio Rogadeo, it is a cultural point of reference for the townspeople.
Founded in the 19th century, the library holds more than 30,000 volumes, including incunabula, cinquecentine and special funds. It also houses the Municipal Historical Archives and a section devoted to local history. The rooms, restored in 2000, include reading rooms, newspaper library, lecture hall and workshop spaces.
