As part of the national agrarian reform, the township of Sant’Anna arose in the countryside of Marrubiu in the 1950s.
From the outset devoted to intensive agriculture, it was equipped with a state-of-the-art industrial plant by the standards of the time.
This includes the ETFAS center consisting of a 20,000-quintal grain silo and the machine shops with adjoining machinery used for the reclamation and rearrangement works of the Sant’Anna Field.
