In the 1950s Sister Emilia enlarged her birth house to make it a home for girls in need of support. Subsequently, the structure was purchased by the municipality, and in 2007, rehabilitation work involved the entire building as a Workshop of Ancient Crafts.
The spaces lend themselves to hosting Exhibitions and Exhibition Events. The inner courtyard has been replaced by a natural stone plaza with seating and a level fountain.
It hosts the photographic and ethnographic exhibition “As We Were,” on the objects of Gonnese tradition, and a solo painting exhibition by Toto Putzu, a Gonnese artist.
