The association was founded in 1964, on the occasion of the “Grape Festival,” at the crossroads of a rural world that is rapidly transforming, abandoning customs, tools and ritual traditions, in the face of the march of social and industrial modernization. It is from this experience that, after passionate months of research and study, the idea of creating the folk group was born, in order to safeguard the historical memory of local traditions such as dances, songs and traditional clothing that had been in disuse for several years.
