Elisabetta Sanna was born in Codrongianos on April 23, 1788. A Franciscan tertiary, she died in fame of sanctity on February 17, 1857, in Rome. The cause of beatification was promoted by Pope Leo XIII with a decree of April 22, 1880, and is still in progress. The house constitutes a landmark for the many devotees: a modest building located in the upper part of the neighborhood known as “Carruzu ‘e josso,” exactly at no. 10 of the street Venerable Elisabetta Sanna. Donated by the Spanu/Corda family to the parish of Codrongianos, it has been expertly restored by the municipal administration.
