Monumental site in memory of the quartese sailors who perished during the two world wars, located in the square dedicated to Luigi Olla, a quartese hero silver medalist for military valor who lost his life together with his crew aboard the destroyer “Turbine,” which sank in the Italian-Austrian sea battle in the Adriatic Sea on May 24, 1915, the first day of the Great War.
A wrought-iron artifact representing an anchor measuring m.1.8×1.3 in the “Admiralty” style, a commemorative marble plaque dedicated to the heroes of Quartesi, and a marble memorial stone, with a bronze plaque, in honor of Luigi Olla were installed in the square.
