Built in the first half of the twentieth century, the Church of Our Lady of Sorrows responded to the growth of the hamlet of Mariotto and the need for a new religious center.
It features a Latin cross plan, single hall and semicircular apse, with a local stone facade punctuated by pilasters and ceramic decorations. The triple lancet window with polychrome stained-glass windows and the three-order bell tower mark its distinctive profile.
The clear and orderly interior creates an atmosphere of recollection, reflecting the simplicity and devotion of the Mariotto community.
