Museum of Mining Art
Saturday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.The Museum, established in 1998, located in the meanders of the glorious Mining Institute of Iglesias, consists of a floor where the machines are set up and tools associated with the mining and processing of ore, and by about 400 meters of tunnels, which originated as workshops for students and served as a safe air raid shelter during World War II. Such a gallery is unique worldwide, as there are few mining institutions in the world, and none of them have an educational gallery.
Mining School Institute

Born on May 3, 1871, following an intervention by Quintino Sella in the Chamber of Deputies, thanks to which it was decided to establish a mining school in Iglesias, designed to train technicians capable of managing the mining activity of local mines. The facility, built by mining engineer Giorgio Asproni, includes numerous laboratories, classrooms, an important library and the Mineralogical Museum.
