M.A.U.MI is the first Museum of Urban Art on Migration in Italy.
The project will be developed at Casa Scalabrini 634, a shelter project for refugees and asylum seekers located at Via Casilina 634 and managed by ASCS – Scalabriniana Agency for Cooperation and Development.
The museum tells the story of migration in Rome and in the Casilino Ecomuseum territory through contemporary muralism. Each work is a “fragment” of this history, reconstructed by research curated by the Centro Studi Emigrazione Roma.
The museum currently houses a collection of eight works created by the likes of Nicola Verlato, Diavù, Croma, Mr. Klevra, Simone TSO, Daniele Tozzi, Ale Senso and Gio Pistone.
