As many as 6 nuragic sites have recently been surveyed in the territory of Stintino, among them the best preserved is the nuraghe of Unia, which takes its name from the locality of the same name and is located about 45 meters above sea level. Apparently simple in type, its position dominates at a wide range both along the eastern coastal profile and inland. The tower is built with sub-rectangular blocks of limestone and is preserved to a maximum height of 6.40 m inside the central chamber, 4.00 m in the outer perimeter. Due to the silting up of the entrance, the site is accessible inside through a breach in the northeast caused by the collapse of the wall face of the tower. The central chamber preserves the intact tholos. Recent research also speculates the presence of a village.
