The town hall is located in the historic center of Marrubiu. The rationalist-style building dates from about 1911; it was formerly used as a town hall and school. During the 20-year fascist period it was at the center of the events that pitted Marrubiu against Terralba, resulting in Marrubiu’s subjugation and, since the December 7-13, 1947 uprisings, in Marrubiu’s obtaining autonomy. The building currently houses municipal offices.
