The Orthodox church is dedicated to the Mother of God of Perpetual Help, founded on April 22, 1956 by Bishop John Basciu (Orthodox bishop). The religious structure consists of a single nave; near the altar is a wall called “iconostasis” that separates the holy place, called the Holy of Holies, from the rest of the nave. The iconostasis wall consists of three doors called “Southern Door” ( right), “Northern Door” ( left) and the central one called “Special or Royal Door” respectively. It is completely painted; the frescoes were done by an Orthodox nun, Sister Febronia.
