Having become a prominent center of Marian devotion over the centuries, not only locally, the Shrine of Our Lady of Remedy, first mentioned in 1665, is the surviving parish church of Nuracraba, a small village that probably arose in medieval times and disappeared due to floods and plagues around 1730.
