The church of Sant’Anna, in the historic center of Tortolì, overlooks a small courtyard enclosed by a gate. The building has a rectangular plan divided into a single apsidal nave covered by a barrel vault. There are also semi-columns protruding from the side walls and a plaque commemorating the date of construction of the present church (1881), thanks to funding from the Pious Confraternity of the Holy Rosary. The simple façade of a soft yellow color houses a small granite-framed doorway surmounted by a circular stained-glass rose window; there is also a stone inscription “praecelsae dei genitricis mariae matri divae annae a.d. 1881” (to the divine Anna, mother of God’s exalted parent Mary, in the year of our Lord 1881).
