The sanctuary was built in the 17th century and has undergone considerable changes over the years. The hall-like layout has a roof with pointed vaults that divide the length of the nave into two bays. The apse, which has a quadrangular plan and is slightly raised, is covered by a cross vault with a pendulous gem on which an image of the Nicodemus Crucifix is imprinted. On either side of the hall are two chapels, vaulted, where the 15th-century simulacrum of St. Lucy and an 18th-century statue of the Virgin in Spanish robes are kept.
