Wine Museum Regional Enoteca Berchidda
The Museo del Vino Enoteca Regionale della Sardegna, a cultural asset of the Region of Sardinia, is dedicated to the promotion and enhancement of our island’s wine culture and tradition. The facility is divided into two paths through which the evolution of oenology over the years is told: museum exhibition begin our history the wine amphorae, it continues with more recent equipment, such as the wooden and iron plows for the preparation of the land that houses the vineyard, su laccu the trachyte basin for the first crushing with the feet (found in the nuraghi and reused in Roman times); the wine press with granite base, wooden structure and used for the display of some of the wine bottles of the Sardinian market dating back to the 50s, 60s and 70s. Given the importance of cork in wine preservation, the last part of the museum tour is dedicated to cork and its processing.
Regional wine shop on display numerous bottles represent the varied wine production of Sardinia. Wines can be purchased and tasted, paired with food products, creating taste harmonies. There is also a selection of infusions, spirits, sweets and honey.
