Also packed is the fourth weekend of Monumenti Aperti, as well as the penultimate weekend before the summer break: on Saturday, May 24 and Sunday, May 25, the event makes stops in 13 municipalities in Sardinia – Assemini, Bosa, Carloforte, Chiaramonti (Sunday 25 only), Cuglieri, Ittiri, Monteleone Rocca Doria, Nuxis, Ossi, Selargius, Simala, Sini and Stintino-while overseas reaches Cosenza (Friday 23 and Saturday 24), Quiliano in the province of Savona, and Rome (also Friday 23).
Thanks to the cooperation of schools and associations, it will also be possible to walk several thematic routes and take part in numerous special initiatives.
One of these is Nuragic Paths, a fascinating journey to discover the treasures of our island’s millennia-old Nuragic civilization that marks the partnership between Imago Mundi and the association Sardinia towards UNESCO. The initiative is developed through a rich calendar of guided tours to 30 nuragic sites on the island: this weekend includes Ossi and Stintino.
THE HEART OF SARDINIA APP
Heart of Sardinia is a free app for iOS and Android that has been promoting the island’s tourism heritage for seven years. It will be the official app of the 2025 edition of Monumenti Aperti and a digital guide for all visitors: within it, it will be possible to consult the map of the monuments that can be visited and save itineraries in advance.
Heart of Sardinia will also collect anonymized and aggregated data on visitor habits to measure the results of the event.
