Second meeting in the heart of Barbagia for the operational phase of the Sardinian Roots – Roots Tourism project. There are a total of four meetings in the sample territories identified among the historical regions of Sardinia, and as many online meetings, opened by the first meeting last Wednesday, September 17, 2025 in Mandas, in the historical region of Trexenta. Next meeting in Gavoi, at 5 p.m. in the Sala Consiliare in Piazza Santa Croce 1, a representative stage for Barbagia di Ollolai, which will then be joined by Sassarese, and Sulcis Iglesiente.
Territorial meetings involve local communities, institutions and tourism operators to:
- Enhance the cultural identities of the sample areas;
- Strengthen ties with Sardinian communities around the world;
- build a network of businesses and institutions that will flow into the future Destination Management System (DMS) dedicated to Roots Tourism.
Imago Mundi OdV is a partner in the “Sardinian Roots” project, part of Spoke 2 – Tourism of the Ecosystem of Innovation for Next Generation Sardinia (e.INS) and coordinated by the University of Cagliari, is funded by the PNRR – Mission 4, Component 2. It represents a synergistic collaboration between research organizations, local institutions and local actors, aimed at innovating the tourism offer related to migratory phenomena and the link with the land of origin.
