Il Nuraghe Tronza si trova sulla parte settentrionale della “vega” di Milis ad un’altitudine di 88 m s.l.m, presso la sponda destra del Rio Mannu. Si tratta di un nuraghe di tipo arcaico a corridoio, a pianta ellittica, edificato in grossi blocchi poligonali di basalto locale. L’altezza residuale delle strutture murarie è di circa 5 m.
La parte maggiormente conservata del nuraghe è quella posta a Nord. Nella parte meridionale si notano notevoli cumuli di materiali di crollo provenienti dal nuraghe stesso con massi anche di grandi dimensioni. Sulla parte nord – occidentale del nuraghe si apre un piccolo ingresso sormontato da un architrave costituito da un unico grande masso in basalto. L’edificazione del nuraghe è da collocare agli inizi dell’Età del Bronzo medio, tra 1700 e 1600 a. C. Il nuraghe sorge in un’area dall’elevato valore paesaggistico e ambientale, al centro di un oliveto e a pochi metri dal fiume.
